Perhaps, Islam to me seemed to adopt a policy mainly of refurnishing and re-packaging old goods rather than building from scratch. It was the? same for Europe at the time but they began to truly innovate the unrealised once they began to remove the stranglehold of the religious institutions. How do you invent anything when your inventions are not allowed to violate your holy book? IMO its like crossing a minefield.

What of the large amounts of science created by the Greeks, Romans, Indians and the pre-Islamic? Persians? It's my firm belief that the Golden Age was regardless of Islam not because of it. Apart from a few "heretics" (e.g. Omar Khayyam) it was mostly converting Greek and Indian texts into Arabic, it was that Arabic was what the Europeans just ended up getting their hands on. But if Islam insists on deluding itself it had a "Golden Age" then so be it. I do not care.

Actually, physics and many other sciences were originally created by Muslims, this was due to a golden age that every civilization goes to. After constant foreign invaders, the civilization collapsed into what you see today and the technology was taken to Europe, where the?
