Of all the inspirational films, THIS is the most inspirational film of ALL FUCKING TIME! Nobody could play George Bailey better than than our beloved Jimmy Stewart! Thumbs up if you agree! Thanks for posting! :D ?

I think? you meant? empathy, since one rarely encourages another to "exercise" apathy!

I think you meant empathy, since one rarely encourages another to? "exercise" apathy!

An overrated and uneasy compilation of episodes written by a number of talented people? linked by x characters in common. Gloria Grahame is the real highlight of this film.

I'm sure? UNLebanon does to.
By: UpgradedWorld. on 13 Apr 12, 00:59:41
Of course I dont! I do exercise it periodically, though.?

Do you live? your life only by apathy? I don't think you do.

The movie is art. As humans we are free to critique art and draw similarities between it and real life. ? I drew such a similarity between Mr. Potter and the tea party philosophy. You and lonewulf44 didn't like it so you started to argue. By continuing this argument, you are recanting on your previous position "'take the moral? high ground'. Nothing good is coming from arguing" as well as your use of the word 'apathy'. If you really are apathetic, then why care about my choice of words?

'teabagger' is derogatory. Not art. I am not stopping you posting your opinions, im simply saying that as humans we have a thing called apathy. Use? it.

Pardon me, Mr. Censor, but I don't have to let it go. If you don't like someone commenting on the meaning behind a movie, then don't read the comments section. Seriously, what do you have against the interpretation of art? It is a free country and I can post my opinion on a youtube film if? I want to. How is what I said 'derogatory'???
By: UpgradedWorld. on 28 Mar 12, 16:21:34
UNLebanon, just let it go. If you think you are right, 'take the moral high ground'. Nothing good is coming from? arguing...Escpecially when you started the argument with the derogatry comment below..

How can you call the interpretation and application of a classical movie to a modern phenomenon spam? Do you not understand the value? of art? This is the perfect forum for such a discussion because it is the movie that elicits such a discussion. When you read 'to kill a mockingbird', does it not evoke a socio-political discussion? Or were you asleep during your high school literature class? Don't tell me I can't appreciate art where and how I want to.
By: lonewulf44. on 15 Mar 12, 17:44:19
No one wants to hear? political rhetoric or debate biased opinions while watching this classic film. Gladly would discuss various views in another forum but in here it comes off as just comment spam.

How can I ruin the film by using it for what all art is intended for... illustrating real life using fictional plots and characters. If George were a politician, teabaggers would call him socialist. If Mr. Potter were real, the GOP would give? him a tax break because he's a "job creator." If the townspeople were real, Fox News would call them lazy for not buying their own houses. The whole tone of this movie is anti-greed and pro-generosity, yet you call such an analysis a flame?
By: lonewulf44. on 15 Mar 12, 12:10:29
Don't ruin this film, or at least the? atmosphere of this posting with your political (inaccurate to boot) flame. Keep the movie above such

8 people are teabaggers who think George received too many handouts and think Mr. Potter's idea of? capitalism is what Christmas is all about.
