We've been dealing with the loan mod nightmare for 13 months. Chase bank, who sucks so bad, told us they would give us a permanent loan modification after? we made 3 trial mod payments; the loan mod never happened. They say we they want to help but it's all just a bogus act of good faith. They string you along so that you keep sending your money to them. We've never, ever been screwed with like we have with Chase.

Don't hire an attorney to modify your loan. Stop paying your mortgage and your bank will automatically modify your loan and give you a great deal. There is no need to go through the aggravation? process of applying for a loan modification. Just stop paying your mortgage and you bank will do it for you.

Attorneys can't do any more than you. They call the same numbers and send the same paperwork. You'll just end up $3500? poorer. Chase is one of the worst. Employees of Chase openly admitted that they are told to give applicants the run-around. The number of people who get mods is staggeringly low. Recently, there was a piece in the news saying close to 50% of the people trying to get into the program drop out.? Do you think that they suddenly lost interest in trying to keep their homes?

I too think that this loan modification is a big joke. More than likely you will be denied and not? qualify for any other program that your bank may offer. I am disillusioned and very, very upset with this entire process. I had 2 aneuryms and have yet to return to work. I am looking but have not found anything yet. I am going to lose my house. I got a 3 month fornearance and now they want all the back payments.
